First Big Winter Storm
Our first big winter storm... it came in two parts 3-4" of wet snow
the first day, followed by 5-6" of the dry powery stuff and some very
cold temp with 40-50 mph gusts.

First Geocache Hike..
families/individuals can use GPS/map skills via iPhone to find a
hidden "cache" in locations all over the world!) the cache was in the
area of Craven Gap. The kids were really excited to find it, stashed
behind a fallen stump off the Mtns to Sea trail accessed via trails
from the mountain behind our house, paralleling the Blue Ridge
Parkway. The seekers bring something to put in the cache, to tradeout
with item(s) in the cache. The little notebook in the box had notes
from players as far back as 2003. Our hike ended up being about 2hrs
40min and traveled about 4.2 miles or so. The boys did great!! You
can read more about the sport on line.
Cutting down a leaner
freestanding trees. The woods nice though and pretty dry. A welcome
addition to the stock pile.

Inflatable Obstacle Course
Aeden and August loved the inflatable obstacle course after church. I
wasn't quite sure about August climbing up the wall - but man if he
didn't scoot right up there.
