Aeden at Math Camp

Math Camp
-math games
-routine problems (addition, subtraction, skip counting)
-money
-beginning fractions
-We didn't quite finish our chapter book, Striped Ice Cream by Joan M.
Lexau. Maybe you'll want to check it out of the library next time you
go, if your kiddo wants closure. It's such a sweet book. We read all
but the last 3 chapters. Would take about 30 minutes to finish
reading aloud, if that long.

Downstairs was all about building, sculpting, and painting.

Afternoons included swimming (city pool), Splashville (downtown), and
bowling, not to mention the Slip 'n Slide, bikes, card games, board
games. (Do you know how MUCH you can LEARN by playing board games? A
lot, let me tell you!!)

Fripp Island - Set 3

A really nice time at the beach. The island was laid back and noncommercial.

It provided lots of opportunities to get outdoors - kayaking, a little bit of hiking, beach time, biking, playgrounds, alligator watching, and lounging by the pools. The access to wildlife and a tidal creeks was great. The golf cart was also a big hit - though I'm not sure who enjoyed it more, Aeden or Pop pop ;-).

Everyone seemed to enjoy the deers that wandered about - coming within feet of you.

Pop pop and Grandma had lovely dinners at the local seafood restaurant.

Aeden really enjoyed the tripp across Skull Inlet to Pritchard's island. Nothing like having a whole island to yourself and a few crabs ;-). Hunting Island was nice - lots of trails and a wonderful tree strewn beach.

Our sojourn into downtown Beaufort in search of ice cream went well. The kids really enjoyed the waterfront playground.
