Aeden preparing to open gifts.

A box full of puzzles.

Hmmm, maybe I'll play with this for a while.

Another puzzle!

Chicken Update

Bebe, Slate and Red on thier perch.

The modified chicken tractor... new improved door (and elevated roost)... actual rain protection and real chicken wire... the changes were brought about by one small bear climbing on the previous version and a hole chewed threw the plastic netting (animal unknown).

Aeden & the bike magazine

Mom, can't you see I'm reading?

Really now... I'm reading.

Aeden enjoying the biking magazine...

Aeden intent on the biking magazine...

One foot, two foot

One foot up?

One foot up!

Both feet up?

Both feet up!

Other than attempting to keep the bears away from the chickens... here's the latest issue, the new fork is missing about an inch of travel... and its been returned from a repair job at the manufacturer...

The Latest Addition to the Fodi Family...

Here is the chicken tractor... a couple of strudy pickets... some 2x4's... some recycled plastic poultry netting... a few peices of plywood... and soffit material (to be replaced with tin roofing).. its portable and can be moved around (from sun to shade, or to provide rotational grazing offerings)... the chickens will stay in here for the first week and then we'll let them out while we're around... the cat's seemed initially concerned... but I'm afraid that will turn to interest... Once they're fully grown, I think both will coexist well...

Chicken Tractor... front view.

This one is a bantam named Xavier (thinking about a new name)...

Bebe flapping

Bebe (after the text by the similar name) is a Silke... the feathers are super soft and fluffy

Bebe perched

This one's name was Vespra... thinking of changing it to Slate... really cool feathers, light fading to dark... Chickes like to be held upside down... who would have known???

Aeden get's involved... he really seems to enjoy the birds
