Look what I found lying in the road
Found this guy lying in the road just up from our house. I'm sending the pics off to Ed's brother, Mac, for forensics - his doctorate in zo0logy and multiple snake bites make him the closest thing I have to an expert. I'll post the findings, but that head looks pretty triangular to me. He's only 8", but check out thee spread on this guy - I'd hate to meet up with him at 6'. Cathy's placing her bets on a copperhead.

I'm with Cathy on the copperhead vote. The ones I've seen seemed to be thinner - but it might be the photo perspective and the size of the snake throwing me off. Do the people who guess correctly get a framed print of one of the pics?? ;-))
